Sports Super Centre gymnasium is a large, fully equipped fitness centre offering a unique training environment. It offers a full range of Nautilus Nitro resistance training machines, a great selection of modern cardio equipment and an extensive selection of free weights and plate loaded exercise stations.
Our fully qualified team of experienced gymnasium instructors understand how daunting joining a health club can be and will go out of their way to make you feel at ease. We pride ourselves on being a centre for "real people"; there is no peer pressure or unrealistic goal setting just a friendly atmosphere and support to help motivate you to achieve real results.
Personal Training
Personal Training is a results based training system that is programmed and tailored to your individual needs. It will offer variety whilst being flexible enough to adapt as you progress. The emphasis should be on making exercise fun so that you have the motivation to not only meet, but also to exceed your goals. Here at the Sports Super Centre the variety of exercise choices is almost endless and your programme could include Boxing, Pilates, Yoga, Deep Water Exercise as well as the more traditional exercise options. A typical programme will generally combine some aerobic activity with resistance and flexibility training to give you a personalised whole body workout.
To ensure maximum benefit and help you to have some fun with your fitness, the Sports Super Centre has a unique membership program designed to guarantee results for all new members whether you are starting at a club for the first time or are a regular health club user. Included in your membership is a Personal Training package consisting of an initial 1 hour consultation, goal setting and programming session with a fully qualified, experienced, hand picked Personal Trainer. This initial session will be followed by two half hour Personal Training sessions at a time and day convenient to you. At the end of these sessions you can choose to either continue with your Personal Trainer or to take the self-programming option supported by our team of gymnasium instructors.
Personal Training Packages
Personal Training sessions are on a half hourly or hourly basis and pre-paid at an additional cost. There are a number of options available:
- Kick Start, 4 sessions to get you into the routine of regular training
- Results pack, 13 sessions to really focus on your goals and start to work towards achieving those results
- Lifestyle pack, 26 sessions for maximum results
- Ezy-train, an automatic monthly payment plan that is debited each month for your convenience depending on the length and number of weekly sessions taken. Ideal for the committed individual with a long-term goal.

Group Exercise
We have exercise classes to suit all individuals no matter what shape, age, size, or fitness level you are.
BODY PUMP - Les Mills Body Pump is a pre choreographed non-impact workout using an adjustable barbell that challenges every major muscle in your body. A fantastic weights workout to music guaranteed to tone and shape. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
FAT BURNER – A great high energy, high calorie burning choreographed exercise to music class combining high and low impact moves designed to maximise fat burn and big on fun. This class is suitable for everyone as you decide how hard you want to work.
ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT 101 - This class will train you like an athlete focusing on strength, power, agility, muscular endurance and flexibility burning more fat than you can imagine in the process. Suitable for all fitness levels.
BOXING CIRCUIT – A non choreographed class involving station rotations that combine strength work, conditioning and cardiovascular exercise using a variety of equipment including mitts, pads, bags, skipping ropes, weights, the outdoors and much more. A fantastic workout that is suitable for everyone.(NB White cotton inners must be worn and can be purchased from reception).
BODY CONDITIONING – A class that will tone and shape every inch of your body using weights, barbells and lower body resistance techniques. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
RPM – Les Mills RPM is a high energy indoor cycling class that will give you a great cardio workout. Join this group activity to match terrain with tempo and experience rolling hills, winding roads, sprints and intervals setting your own resistance and pace. Cycling is a great non-impact class suitable for all levels of fitness guaranteed to burn up calories fast.
BODY COMBAT - Les Mills Body Combat is a martial arts style class that combines moves from karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muaythai into an energetic action packed cardio workout with the focus on fitness, strength and agility. This motivating workout to inspiring music is non-contact and no apparatus required.
RUN, SPIN & CRUNCH – Try this one for ‘a different spin’ on the usual cycle class! Combining track drills, a 30-minute express cycle and finishing with a blast for the abs followed by a stretch for a challenging full body workout.
STEP ‘N’ SCULPT - A cardio blast that burns fat whilst toning the lower body, step is a fun, low impact workout. Movements orientated around a step will increase the intensity and variety of your workout and improve your overall fitness, co-ordination and body shape.
BODYVIVE – Les Mills Bodyvive is a low impact, dynamic program designed to focus on all aspects of fitness. The workout combines cardio fitness, core stability, balance, functional strength and flexibility all done to some great, uplifting music tracks from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The class is particularly suited to active adults in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s as well as newcomers to exercise but is also great for anyone returning from injury or just wanting something different to complement their existing training regime.
BODY BALANCE – Les Mills Body Balance is a pre choreographed mind body class. Designed to reduce stress, relieve pain and increase flexibility, balance and core strength each class is structured to create harmony between breath and movement, action and relaxation, awareness and concentration. A holistic class combining Tai Chi, Yoga, Feldenkrais and Pilates techniques done to uplifting music.
PILATES – Improve joint mobility, stability and posture and prevent muscle imbalance and lower back pain by increasing core strength and flexibility and becoming more body aware. We have two types of Pilate’s class, Mat Pilates is a floor based group class that teaches the basic fundamentals whilst Reformer Pilates uses specialised equipment in small groups allowing for more personal instruction and challenging techniques. (Please note there is a separate fee for Pilates Reformer.)
YOGA – Improves circulation, removes toxins and releases your energy whilst improving body structure and freedom of movement through the lengthening and strengthening of the muscles and ligaments.Yoga is a great workout both internally and externally as it can also improve nerve and internal organ function.
YOGA STRETCH & TONE – Re-aligns the body, stretches and tones the muscles to increase strength, flexibility and mobility. All Yoga sessions are suitable for all levels of fitness and ability.
DEEP WATER EXERCISE – A deep water running and conditioning class conducted in our outdoor heated pool it involves an energy plus workout without the impact. You will use buoyancy belts, water noodles and the resistance of the water - a fantastic training tool. No swimming experience necessary.
AQUAFIT – A low impact, power packed class in the indoor pool with the emphasis on fun. This choreographed exercise to music workout combines cardio and toning exercises using water as your resistance. Certainly not the easy option but a great alternative to land based exercise if you have joint problems or injuries or are pregnant.
