Fees
Consultation fees can be claimed if you carry extras cover on your private health insurance. For your convenience, we can claim your benefit from most funds automatically on the day of your treatment. We can also provide Medicare rebates. If you are covered by Workers Compensation or The Department of Veterans Affairs, we can send the accounts directly to these organisations on your behalf.
Referrals
Referral from a doctor is not required unless you are claiming through Veterans Affairs, Workcover or third party insurance. If you have been in an accident, or suffering a particular problem, your doctor or surgeon may suggest you see a specialist. Ask them to refer you to the Runaway Bay Sports Medicine Clinic. We ensure you will receive the best and most advanced treatment for your condition. We also send comprehensive reports to your doctor to keep them informed.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists treat injuries and problems involving muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and nerves by correcting and improving your body's flexibility, movement, strength, endurance and power.
Our physiotherapists will assess your problem, make a clinical diagnosis and then select appropriate treatment and rehabilitation solutions. After successful treatment and rehabilitation, they will provide you with ongoing reassessments and a home exercise program to prevent your injury reoccurring. You can supplement your physiotherapy consultations with access to our many health and fitness facilities, in particular our heated indoor hydrotherapy pool, spa and saunas.
The Sports Super Centre’s physiotherapists are university qualified and registered under the Physiotherapy Board of Australia to practice in Queensland.
Sports Physician
Our doctor specialises in the field of sports medicine and is a member of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians. You don’t need to be an athlete to see a sports physician.
